The Award of Excellence Program has been developed to honour individual BIA members for the vital contributions they make to our community. The BIA was asked to nominate two individuals that show an unparalleled commitment and dedication to the continual upkeep of their properties. We are lucky enough to have a street filled with business owners that share this same commitment to excellence. It's nearly impossible to narrow it down to just two.
International Women’s Day calls us to challenge the issues that deny women’s human rights, while celebrating those women who have worked tirelessly to create change in the past and also those who continue to move us forward today. Yesterday the Ottawa St merchants offered women the small gesture of a yellow rose to signify our utmost respect and appreciation for all women. Ottawa St is made up of over 100 small businesses, many of which are owned and operated by women.

On Saturday July 18th at 1pm it's the long awaited Sinfully Sweet PIE EATING CONTEST!!! Competitors are chowing down to prove they can inhale the most pie in ten minutes for a great cause! Proceeds go to Food4Kids in Hamilton, Ontario, in support of their incredible food program for kids and their families.
We also have special guest, CHCH's Annette Hamm who is being sponsored by AllSorts Gallery to compete!
It might be gloomy, it might be wet, but Ottawa Street is still up and running daily until July 26th! We've got three trucks on the street today, Wrap-Ture, Mango Chutney and Jonny Blonde!!!
